Age recommendations vary by production, and we ask that you refer to each show’s event page for age restrictions that may apply.
For most performances, all children are required to have a ticket and separate seat, except for children two years and younger who will be sitting on an adult’s lap. Any child attending an evening performance should be able to sit quietly through the show. As a courtesy to other audience members, please use discretion in bringing a young child to a performance not designated for children.
-
Photography and video recording are strictly prohibited during the performance. We ask that all guests turn their devices off completely to avoid distraction of the artists on stage as well as their fellow audience members.
-
Live theatre is a shared experience, and your courtesy helps create an enjoyable performance for everyone—including the artists on stage. Because performers can often see and hear the audience, we ask that all guests observe the following etiquette:
Arrive early and be seated before the performance begins.
Remain seated during the performance whenever possible. If you must leave your seat, please do so during intermission or an appropriate break.
Silence all mobile phones, smart watches, and electronic devices before the performance begins and again after intermission. Please refrain from texting or using illuminated screens during the show.
Keep conversations to a minimum and save comments for intermission or after the performance.
Open candy wrappers, snacks, and beverages before the performance begins whenever possible to minimize noise.
Be respectful of fellow patrons by removing hats that obstruct views and avoiding behavior that distracts others from enjoying the performance.
-
For the safety and security of our guests, re-entry is not permitted once your ticket has been scanned and you have entered the venue.
If you have an emergency or require assistance, please speak with a member of our team who will do their best to accommodate special circumstances whenever possible.
-
To minimize disruptions to the performance, patrons arriving after the scheduled showtime will be seated at the discretion of theatre staff. Late seating may be delayed until an appropriate break in the performance, and in some cases, patrons may be directed to alternate seating locations until intermission.
-
Theatre doors open one hour prior to the show time listed on your ticket. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to allow plenty of time for parking, ticket scanning, concessions, and finding their seats before the performance begins.
-
All guests in attendance are required to wear a shirt, shorts/pants/skirt, and shoes at all times for their own safety. Theatre management reserves the right to deny entry or remove any guest wearing attire that we consider inappropriate. Costumes, props, full face masks and face paint are not allowed.
-
Coat check service is available for your convenience during most performances.
While every effort is made to safeguard checked items, the Canon Theatre is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. We recommend that guests keep valuables, including wallets, phones, keys, and other personal items with them at all times.
-
If you believe you lost an item during your visit to the Canon Theatre, please speak with an usher or staff member before leaving the venue.
If you’ve already left, please call our office at XXX-XXX-XXXX. Provide your name, contact information, show date, seat location (if applicable), and a description of the lost item.
Our office staff is available to assist during regular business hours. If you call after hours, please leave a detailed voicemail, and we will return your call as soon as possible. Lost items are held for 30 days from the date they are turned in.
